A Worrying Time
This is a deeply worrying time for us.
As winter sets in, the rate at which bills arrive on our desk every single day has become overwhelming. Each invoice represents something essential — care that cannot be delayed and costs that cannot be avoided when the welfare of so many horses and ponies is at stake.
The past year has placed enormous strain on our resources.
Just two examples of the pressures we have faced:
After 12 years of constant use, all of our paddock fencing became irreparable and had to be completely replaced to keep our horses safe.
Shortly after, our trusted tractor failed beyond repair, and we were forced to trade it in and replace it so we could continue carrying out vital daily tasks such as delivering hay and water and managing muck removal.
These were not optional expenses — they were essential to maintaining welfare and safety.
Now, as winter tightens its grip, bills continue to arrive daily, and the sheer rate at which they land on our desk is deeply worrying. We are doing everything possible to stay on top of them, but the pressure is constant.
Behind every bill are over 50 horses and ponies relying on us for warmth, food, veterinary care, and the security of knowing they will not be abandoned or abused again.
