ITV – COAST AND COUNTRY 2025

For those of you who missed it or couldn’t access the ITV channel… here it is!

THE TRUTH…

In 2024, Coast and Country visited Woodfield to film a piece about some of our rescues and to catch up on how we were coping after Robbie’s passing. They had met Robbie and the sanctuary back in 2020, and coming back felt like a way to honour the legacy she poured her life into.

But after Robbie died, something we never expected happened.

Instead of being allowed the space to grieve and continue her work, Woodfield became the target of cruel, deliberate bullying. When we refused to give in, the harassment escalated. Efforts were made—relentless efforts—to shut down the sanctuary Robbie loved so dearly.

There were multiple visits from local authorities and animal welfare organisations. Many of these were people we had worked alongside for years—people who knew our standards, our animals, our hearts. Even they were shocked by the accusations placed in front of them.

And yet, every single time, the truth prevailed.

Every inspection was passed. Every report praised our care.

But while the bullying storm raged around us, ITV felt unable to air the original piece filmed in Robbie’s memory.

Still, we refused to break. We held the sanctuary together with everything we had.

And now—after all the battles, all the tears, all the nights spent wondering how much more we could take—we finally have something beautiful to share.

Coast and Country returned just a few weeks ago to film a brand-new piece.

A piece that shows the real Woodfield.

A piece that honours Robbie.

A piece that proves that kindness, resilience, and truth can rise above even the darkest attempts to bring our sanctuary to its knees.

We truly couldn’t have achieved this without YOU—our incredible supporters. Your word of mouth, your kindness, and the way you’ve shared our work with others are exactly what allow us to keep saving and rehabilitating vulnerable lives—precious souls who cannot speak for themselves.

✨ It’s with YOUR support that we’re able to continue caring for our rescues.

Thank you for being part of our family.
